This locking stereo cover is a great way to secure valuable stereo equipment from the prying eyes of would be thieves. The unique design allows the locking cover to flip up and be stowed under the convenient storage tray. Constructed from .090" Aluminum with a durable color matched powder coating finish. The cover is secured shut by Tuffy's exclusive double bitted ten tumbler camlock system.

So I bought this for my little brothers jeep that got broken into. Although the stereo was not stolen. It was damaged. So looking around I found the tuffy. This is the best thing you could get for the inside of your jeep. Installs quick and easy. It's very rugged and rock solid. Shipping was quick and the seller was awesome. Even gave a coupon on my next purchase.

To protect your audio system PLUS an additional tray for sunglasses etc. it does not look bad on my Jeep jk. A little bulky but well worth it for protection, security, and extra storage. Fairly easy to install, took about 1 1/2 hrs not rushing with all hand tools.

I initially wanted this item as a theft deterrent for my MyGig stereo system. Now that I have it installed, I see that as just one of several advantages of this product. What I really enjoy is the large, deep storage space on top. That area has a perfect finish for those suction-mounted GPS holders. This is a real boon in states where windshield-mounted GPS units are prohibited. Another great benefit is the weather protection that is afforded when the top and/or doors are off the vehicle. While probably not water-tight, it will keep dust and debris from mucking up your touch screen, and keep direct sunlight off the display, too. At this price it is a great asset to the Jeep, and I would recommend it to any Wrangler owner.
