Very handy little item for securing your purse or take-out food on the passenger seat

It's a great little device that secures the item by its handles on the seat. Also, if you attach it to one handle of your purse, your purse will stay in place AND the contents will be easily accessible (although not while you drive, of course). Makes a great little gift.

If available, would suggest you consider the one direct from the manufacturer which comes with 4 clutches (the version that was sold on QVC). It's great for two cars, or you can keep two Clutches and give the others away.

A word from the inventor

I invented this product and wanted to provide a bit more background. So this is not an unbiased review! I was always annoyed and distracted by the risk of my take-out food toppling over and spilling. When I would brake or corner I would find myself reaching over to stabilize it. So I decided to build a simple solution, and after much experimentation came up with the design for The Clutch. I sold a few of the early prototypes at two craft fairs, mainly to women who wanted to use it so their purses wouldn't slide off the seat and dump their contents. They all had stories about getting someplace and realizing their lipstick or cell phone or other essential was probably on the car floor under a seat. That's when I changed the name from "Take-Out Caddy" to "The Clutch."

The Clutch secures your take-out, purse, or other package on the seat by "harnessing" it to the headrest poles. Unlike a couple other devices I've seen, it doesn't hang your item above the se at, and The Clutch can stay in place when not in use - even when someone is sitting in the seat. I built it to be simple and low maintenance, not a hassle. I hope you will like it! Note that you get two, and the packaging stays intact after you remove one, so you could pass along the other if you wanted. If you buy one, please write some feedback because Amazon is a busy place these days and currently there is no advertising or prmotional support for the product.

Getting A Grip On Things!

Love it! No more sudden stops that send my inevitably opened purse from deep-sixing
off the passenger sit and emptying its contents willynilly on the floor. What a
convenience for keeping those things under control that would otherwise be slipping
